Calling all spellers! The HOPE Spelling Bee is coming on January 23rd. In case of weather, we will reschedule for Jan 30th.
HOW TO SIGN UP:
Click the "Sign Up" button below. You will only sign up your spellers.
“Attendee Info” is where you will enter the names of spellers from your family who will be participating. You can click on "Add Attendee" to add the names of additional spellers from your family.
The registration deadline is Friday, January 17, 2025.
WHAT:
Register to showcase your spelling and presentation skills in this year’s oral spelling bee.
WHO:
HOPE hosts the bee as a service to the community, so any homeschooled resident of Prince William County age 14 or younger is invited to participate. Registration is not limited just to HOPE members; invite your friends to join us!
The champion of our bee will advance to the Prince William County Spelling Bee to be held on March 11, 2025 in Woodbridge and have the opportunity to advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee, where your student has a chance of winning $50,000! Because of this, only residents of Prince William County, Manassas City, and Manassas Park can participate.
Below are a few guidelines:
The speller must not have reached his/her 15th birthday on or before August 31, 2024 nor have passed beyond the eighth grade on or before February 1, 2025. There is no minimum age requirement, however ALL spellers will compete in one group. There are no specific grade-level rounds.

COST: $7 if paying by cash/check, $7.80 if paying through PayPal.
WHEN:
The HOPE Spelling Bee will held on Thrusday, January 23, 2025, at 12:30 PM (Please arrive by 12:15 to check in)
Registration Deadline is Friday, Jan 17, 2025 (@11:55 pm).
